AI-backed imaging and care coordination company Viz.ai is partnering with RNAi therapeutics company Alnylam Pharmaceuticals to assist with the early identification and evaluation of patients with cardiac amyloidosis.
Cardiac amyloidosis is a serious heart condition where misfolded amyloid proteins deposit in heart tissue, causing thickening of the muscle and stiffening, arrhythmias and heart failure.
Viz.ai offers a disease detection and care coordination platform with more than 50 FDA-cleared algorithms that can help analyze medical imaging data to assist with diagnosis and treatment decisions. The company also offers AI-enabled tools for neurology, trauma, cardiology, radiology and vascular care.
Through the partnership, Viz.ai will develop a cardiac amyloidosis-focused AI Care Pathway using its FDA-cleared echocardiography algorithm, Us2.ai, to identify patients with suggestive symptoms, coordinate testing to confirm the diagnosis, and follow up with cardiology and heart failure teams.
"Cardiac amyloidosis is a condition where delayed diagnosis has real consequences in heart failure – earlier identification can fundamentally alter a patient's trajectory," Dr. Tim Showalter, CMO of Viz.ai, said in a statement.
"This partnership is about making early detection actionable. By combining advanced imaging and generative AI with a care coordination platform, we will help clinicians find the right patients earlier and move them swiftly toward appropriate care before the window for meaningful intervention narrows."

PromptWell will integrate Ellipsis' AI care management voice tool, Sage, into its engagement platform with the goal of helping providers and payers improve connections with patients.
"By integrating Sage's emotionally intelligent voice agent into our high-velocity engagement engine, we're creating a seamless path from outreach to action. Every touchpoint becomes more than just a notification, it becomes a clinically meaningful interaction that drives measurable ROI and better health outcomes," Kaushik Viswanathan, CEO of PromptWell, said in a statement.

HealthDyne offers medication services, including mail-order, central fill and specialty pharmacy fulfillment. It also provides clinical support and digital patient engagement tools.
CaryHealth combines licensed pharmacy services with digital and AI tools to support patient access, medication adherence, clinical engagement and data‑backed care across patients, providers and health plans.
The partners will leverage HealthDyne's pharmacy infrastructure to facilitate the journey from prescription to patient and CaryHealth's direct-to-patient platform to help support ongoing therapy, medication adherence and program management.
"We place a strong emphasis on the patient experience and the infrastructure required to support modern therapy access," Steve Saft, CEO of HealthDyne, said in a statement.
"Together with CaryHealth, we're helping life sciences partners deliver direct-to-patient programs that remove barriers to treatments and make it easier for patients to start and stay on therapy."
