Cooper University Health Care's Dr. Michael Kirchhoff says the health system's hackathon brings together coders, clinicians and other professionals to create and pitch grassroots programs that address social determinants of health.

The partnership is focused on modernizing the measurement, proof and financial effect of social determinants of health interventions.   

The platform promotes utilization across critical, non-primarily health-related need areas, including food, pest control and transportation.
