In the final quarter of 2019 MobiHealthNews reported on 55 digital health deals. 

This funding brings Clinician Nexus' total investment to $2.3 million. 

Alphabet, Amazon and Apple all made deals this year to buy digital health startups, and the year saw exits for Qualcomm Life, Fitbit and PatientsLikeMe.

The new money will be put towards launching the company's clinics and digital platform. 

Flaner's newly acquired employees will be housed in a new "Tech Hub" the Brazil-grown unicorn will be establishing in Lisbon. 

As part of the program two startups will each get €2 million ($2.22 million) in funding. 

Scale Venture Partners headed the round, which comes roughly a year and a half after OM1's $21 million Series B.

This year's cohort includes 27 companies that are working on everything from digital therapeutics to care coordination tools, to clinician workflow platforms, to opioid alternatives. 

Health Venture Partners led the round with participation from Breyer Capital, Kenan Turnacioglu and other funders.
